Project SEARCH is a partnership between CHS, UWG, the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, and several local businesses that gave the students opportunities to develop their workplace skills while continuing their education. Five of the graduates were officially offered employment, a highlight of the celebration. Graduates have been offered positions at Sportsplex, Chick-fil-A, UWG Dine West, and Tanner Health System.
12 for Life

12 for Life is a unique program where students work part-time at a Southwire manufacturing facility while at the same time earning Work- Based Learning and academic high school credits. There are five main components of 12 for Life, which are Work-Based Learning, Manufacturing Pathway, Rotation Classes, STEM School, and Summer School.
Goodwill Workforce Program
Coweta County Schools has partnered with Goodwill in order to allow seniors during their last semester of high school, to go to Goodwill daily for pre-employment training, and they get paid!
Goodwill’s Workforce Development Program offers a progressive training method to prepare people with disabilities for competitive employment. Services include an evaluation of work-related skills, work experience, and training in a competitive work setting in Goodwill stores and community internship sites, vocational evaluations, job readiness skills, job placement for people with disabilities, and retention services.
Eligibility:
Job-seekers with a documented disability. Most program participants are referred through the Georgia Department of Labor, Veterans Administration, school systems, or through private insurance or private pay.
