C/o 2019- The first Capstone group in Carroll County
You must have four fine art credits (band, chorus, drama, or art). Three credits must be in the same area and a 4th can be in another fine arts area.
Complete at least two extracurricular activities related to fine arts.
I.e. All-State Chorus/Band, Honor Choruses, District Honor Band, Art Exhibitions, One-Act Play, Literary, etc.
Complete 20 hours of community service related to your fine arts area over the course of high school (four years).
I.e. Singing at nursing homes, recruiting field trips, art exhibitions, regular concerts.
Extracurriculars and community service may cross over. For example, singing at a nursing home is an extracurricular as well as community service.
Complete a Senior Capstone project - please see your teacher for details!
The County Director will share the Google Application Form and it will be due the last Friday of March.
Thematic Body of Work
Each senior that qualifies for the Fine Art Capstone will develop their own thematic body of work during the course of their Senior year. Students will have open group critiques fostering peer reviews and support connections. In the spring of the students Senior year students will display their work to the public for review.
