Classroom Tip 2 - Add "Materials" to Classwork Page
Google has been promising to add a "materials" option to the classwork page, and now it's here. What does this mean?? We can now post links, view-only or edit documents (no "make a copy"), etc. to the Classwork page without making it an assignment that needs to be "turned in". This will eliminate so much confusion for students!
Google has been promising to add a "materials" option to the classwork page, and now it's here. What does this mean?? We can now post links, view-only or edit documents (no "make a copy"), etc. to the Classwork page without making it an assignment that needs to be "turned in". This will eliminate so much confusion for students!
Under the "Create" menu in the Classwork tab, there is now a Material option. This is just a place to post items for students to view, reference, etc. but that do not need to be "turned in"
Materials can still be filed under a topic, but notice there is no due date option, and there is no "make a copy for each student" option. The icon (upper left) is also different than an assignment or a question, so students can tell them apart.
