Hello! I am one of the art teachers at Carmen Southeast. I graduated from Bethel University with a BA in K-12 Art Education and Minors in  Studio Art and Art History in May 2022.   In  edition to teaching and launching the AP Art History class this year, I also enjoy reading, spending time outside, and working on my own artwork. Or enjoying the latest in art history documentaries and textbooks... 

Hello, fellow artists! My name is Seth Gillis  and I am the music director at Carmen Southeast High School. When I am not making music with our students, I conduct the Lakeshore Youth Chorale's Lyric and Jubilate ensembles. Music helped me find my purpose in life. Prior to moving to Wisconsin,  I  taught elementary, middle school orchestra and band, film music, choir, piano, and conducted a professional men's chorus. I believe these past experiences have prepared me for the opportunities that our school community needs. I am really excited that we are offering a Mariachi band class this year, and I am excited to further the authenticity of our program in the future. I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BA in Art Education in 2020.
