Kou and Futaba
What I want the audience to know about my work is that I try to draw stuff or paint stuff that I like watching. Like for one of my other projects I drew my favorite character from a video game and it came out pretty good.
Jaky Jake
I worked really hard and took time picking out a good photo reference that would show my skills and doing all these dots was very time consuming and difficult to do so I'm glad I worked hard and I'm satisfied I'm satisfied with the result.
This project was fun, and it was fun looking for references, although I wish I picked different ones.
I want the audience to know that I like drawing in both black and white paper and that I find it interesting to mix both in a single art piece.
I like doing art with pens or in black and white but I also enjoy doing Pointillism/Stippling. So I used this in my piece but also used pens normally and didn't make the whole thing dots.
Rebirth
I was trying to figure out where to start because I needed help proportioning the chair. However, I continued to work on it. It took me 4 times to make sure everything was lined up the way it should be. Additionally, it is important to acknowledge that parents are an important figure in a child’s life at a young age. The colorful cans are supposed to represent how a young child views their parent's actions and practices, however, as the child evolves, the child does the same practices that once harmed the parents.
The Empress
I enjoy painting and I had been waiting for an excuse to start one since I had so many ideas. But, in this particular project, I ended up using an older canvas I has and knew I wanted to try making it more cohesive and a little different from my more scenic ones.
What do I want the audience to know about my work?
I did have a different idea when first started my project, but I was struggling with the execution. I took a step back, looked through uncompleted artworks I had, and found one from two years ago. So, I decided to give it a go and finish it and I had a lot more fun with it than I thought since. I also realized it reminded me of Art Nouveau and I wanted to lean into that.
