MaiaLearning is a college and career readiness platform that engages students to find career passions, which leads to college major exploration and choosing college matches. Students are able to complete interest and learning style inventories, use college scattergrans to asses the likelihood of acceptance, keep track of their college lists and more. Every student has an account. Parents are provided "view only" accounts, as well.

MaiaLearning Scattergrams

Scattergrams are great resources for Carmel Catholic students to see where their peers have been admitted/denied/waitlisted/deferred from a particular college/university. When students apply to a university, they are evaluated by the high school that they are applying from. Utilizing the scattergrams can sometimes give a more accurate picture of what academic criteria is being used to admit a student.

*Please note: There is a number of criteria that goes into admitting or denying a student from a college/university. GPA and test scores are only a few factors, and at times they do not always show the full picture of the student. Every college/university admits/denies students differently. Just because a student with your similar academic make-up or was admitted or denied does not necessarily mean the same will happen for you.

On your MaiaLearning Account, you will be identified as a blue circle. This a great opportunity to see your peers and their admission decisions based on their GPA and test scores. Remember, GPAs and test scores are not everything that defines a student's application in the admission process, so please tread lightly when reviewing these scattergrams.

Test scores are regularly updated when ACT/SAT send them to our school. GPAs have been updated to reflect grades for the Junior and Senior classes.

From the MaiaLearning Homepage, navigate to the "Universities" tab, then "University Search". Type in a school in the search bar -> click on the returned results -> navigate to the “Admission” tab, and scroll down until you see the scattergram under "Admission Statistics". You can choose to view graphs with SAT scores or with ACT scores.

If you don’t see a scattergram, then we do not have data from previous years about that school.

Discovering test Optional Schools

on MaiaLearning

The test optional status for US colleges has been updated with the latest data from FairTest.org:

"University Search" includes a new Test Optional filter
The "Admissions" tab of the University Factsheets lists which schools are Test Optional
