Junior Year Timeline

August-December: 

• Attend a college fair and college representative visits

• Visit college campuses

• Add schools to your "Colleges I'm Considering List" on MaiaLearning

• Take the PSAT/NMSQT in October 

• Continue to work hard in your academics

• Attend Junior & Family College Planning Night in the late fall

January-March:

• Prepare for the ACT/SAT

• Utilize free online test prep and/or self-register for outside standardized testing preparation

• Review academic requirements, if looking to attend college

• Select courses & register for Senior year courses

• Particpate in the CARR Application Case Study

• Schedule your Junior conference with your counselor

April-May:

• Attend spring college fairs

• Take an ACT and/or SAT Exam

• Athletes - register with the NCAA Eligibility Center

• Take AP exams, if applicable

• Finish Junior year strong!

June-July:

• Continue visiting colleges on your list

• Work on college essay ideas

• Revise and begin to finalize your college list

• Relax!
