Our Band Boosters are a Not-for-Profit organization that was founded to help the Aviara Oaks Middle School Band Program meet its financial needs & obligations.
We also are responsible for much of the administration of all students in Band. We also help ensure that the students are comfortable and prepared both in the Band Room and during the various off-campus activities.
Booster meetings are held monthly in the Band Room. Anyone is welcome to attend -- please check the calendar for the next meeting date.
As per the Band Booster Club bylaws, the Presidents shall be selected from the General Assembly (band parents) from the previous year. The President shall be the chief executive officer of the corporation and shall, subject to the control of the Board, supervise and control the affairs of the Corporation and the activities of the Officers. He or she shall perform all duties incident to his or her office and such other duties as may be required by law, by the Articles of Incorporation, or by these Bylaws, or which may be prescribed from time to time by the Board. Unless another person is specifically appointed as Chairperson of the Board, he or she shall preside at all meetings of the Board.

The Vice President shall have other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law, by the Articles of Incorporation, or by the Bylaws, or as may be prescribed by the Board.

Hello, I am Althea Nixon. My 7th grade son is in his second year of middle school band, playing the clarinet just like his older sister, who is now a senior at CHS, did. We are a musical family, as both my husband and I were in the band throughout high school. We spend many of our weekends at swim meets, triathlons, and just hanging out with our sweet labradoodle. I look forward to seeing you all at our next concert!
Our Student Presidents serve as liasons from the parents boosters to the student community in the Band Room. They help to give ideas and get the word out on important matters concerning the day-to-day operations of the band.
Both are entering their third year of the AOMS Band and look forward to serving as the 2025-26 Band Presidents and, consequently, the Student Representatives for the Boosters. They went through a rigorous interview and application process at the end of last year and were selected by the former Student Band Presidents.
