The Arb

Carleton's 880-acre Cowling Arboretum includes more than 8k of skate trails and another 15k of single- or double-tracked classic trails [PDF]. Finding a ski trail is as easy as just walking to the edge of campus! Arb employees and volunteers from the Northfield community maintain the trails on a regular basis.

In the winter, we meet behind the Rec daily to practice in the Arb. It's also great for dryland training or hanging out. Plus, Carleton maintains a full schedule of programming during all seasons.
