My name is [your name] and I am a proud Carleton Student/Alumni. I was disappointed to learn that the college has decided to discontinue the longstanding and well-loved Social Dance Class. This class serves as an important and safe space for students to engage with and support the partner dance community at Carleton. It provides non-athletic students an excellent opportunity to explore a different form of physical activity, and also fosters a welcoming environment for students to connect with one another which aligns with PEAR's objective of requiring students to take PE classes. I believe preserving this class would greatly benefit the Carleton community. I am very disappointed by this decision and sincerely hope that the Social Dance Class can be reinstated in the curriculum soon. Thank you.
