My name is Defne and I'm one of the co-captains of the team. I joined the team my freshman fall and have been addicted since! My favorite style is latin and my favorite dance is probably samba. Outside of dance, I'm a senior English major and creative writing minor and I love reading poetry, bird watching and theatre.

Lauren Hardin (she/her)- Lieutenant

Lauren is a junior who joined the team her freshman fall, and is majoring in Psychology with a minor in music performance! Her favorite dances are smooth tango and latin samba. Outside the ballroom she enjoys playing her French Horn, attending music events, and travelling. She's always looking to make new friends and meet new people so come say hi!

Grace Gallagher - Social Dance Captain

Grace is one of the SDC Captains, and is a sophomore prospective Math major who joined the Ballroom Team her freshman fall. She’s been dancing her whole life, but only recently started ballroom, and absolutely loves it! Her favorite style is Rhythm, and favorite dance is probably East Coast Swing (although it’s constantly changing). When not dancing or studying, she loves reading, sewing, and generally being creative.

Ostap Hrebeniuk - Social Dance Captain

Ostap is a senior Ballroom Dancer and co-captain of the Social Dance Club. He had never danced before Carleton, and now dances 15 hours/week. He is passionate about teaching newcomers and recruiting people for the team. His favorite dances are smooth tango and Latin cha-cha. He is excited to dance with you and see you at social dance every Wednesday at 8:30 pm!
