Created in collaboration with the Connected and Autonomous Research Laboratory (CAR Lab) at the University of Delaware and UD’s Department of Computer and Information Sciences, our competitive, application-based, five-day program is designed to immerse participants in the rapidly evolving field of autonomous vehicle technology. This noncredit pre-college course is tailored for high school students eager to gain a deep understanding of the core principles and practical applications of autonomous driving systems. Students will assemble autonomous robots and work with a team to implement and optimize autonomous driving systems that simulate real-world autonomous driving scenarios.

If you are preparing for college, you probably have some questions about the admission tests. Our one-hour ACT/SAT Free Live-Online Strategy Session introduces students to the basics of both exams and highlights some of the key similarities and differences between them. Our experienced instructor will guide you through some sample questions and teach you a few strategies. This free session is open to high school students and their parents. Whether students are just beginning to think about college, are preparing to take one of the college admission tests or have already taken one of the tests, they should gain valuable strategies and information from the workshop.
Forensic Science Pre-College Summer Program

Take on the challenges critical to providing evidence that solves a criminal case in this one-week program designed for high school students interested in real-world forensic techniques! In this noncredit program led by UD faculty and forensic experts from the Department of Medical and Molecular Sciences, students will experience what it’s like to work a crime scene and process evidence in state-of-the-art laboratories at the University of Delaware and the Delaware Division of Forensic Science. Students will produce and present a “court-ready” report to a panel of forensic scientists from Delaware’s Division of Forensic Science and the Delaware State Police in the program’s capstone experience.

Whether you’re looking to kick-start a career in tech or simply explore a new skill, this course provides the perfect programming foundation for anyone with little or no programming experience. This noncredit certificate program is designed for beginners, covering fundamental concepts such as data types, control flow, object-oriented programming and more. Participants will gain hands-on experience through practical exercises and build their own Python applications.

The SAT Live-Online Test Prep course is an intensive test prep program that provides students with the tools they need to prepare for the SAT. Meeting once or twice per week, the online format is a convenient way to develop essential test-taking skills. Students are provided with an in-depth review of the exam materials, real test questions, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests and a comprehensive study plan.

The SAT Summer Institute classes offer the same curriculum, materials and online resources as our SAT Blitz classes, but they are scheduled during the summer when many students have more time available for practice. The intensive test prep program provides students with the tools they need to prepare for the SAT. Meeting four times per week for one week, participants develop essential test-taking skills in an in-person format on the University of Delaware’s campus. Students are provided with an in-depth review of the exam materials, real test questions, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests and a comprehensive study plan.
