The activity was also attended by the 8 newly identified incubatees as start of their incubation process. The selected BSABE students as the ABI Pre-Incubatees were also present.

The ABI Project Team facilitated the overall activity with the help of Dr. Efren Linan as the Project Leader, Dr. Stephanie Pimentel - Campus Administrator of CapSU Burias, and IPMO Staff.

The activity was held at Vicente Bermejo Hall, Capiz State University - Burias Campus on December 27, 2021.

ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND SETTING AND INTRO TO BUSINESS PLANNING

CAPSU ABI once again conducted another activity entitled: "Entrepreneurial Mind Setting and Intro to Business Planning" on January 15, 2022 at Bermejo Hall, CAPSU Burias Campus.

Prof. Mark Glenn Villamor discussed about developing an entrepreneurial mindset wherein he shared the Filipino Values that are Un/Favorable to Entrepreneurship, Personal Entrepreneurship Competencies and other subtopics that refreshed and enhanced the understanding of ABI Incubatees as to what really Entrepreneurship is all about.

Dr. Rosine Labado during the afternoon session presented the basics and contents of a Business Plan and what are the characteristics that a good Business Plan has. She also touched Marketing, Production and Financial aspects which will be thoroughly discussed on the succeeding trainings as part of the Business Development Services that will be offered to the Incubatees.

Ms. Princess Palawan was also present during the activity wherein she welcomed the participants on behalf of Dr. Efren Linan, the ABI Project Leader and CAPSU's Vice-President for Research, Development and Extension. Ms. Palawan reiterated the process of incubation and how ABI will help the Incubatees in terms of operations, product development and many more.

Mr. Russel Villanueva, the ABI Manager also gave his closing remarks and answered questions from Incubatees like schedules of training, the incubation process and other concerns in relation to the implementation of the project.

ABI would like to thank Dr. Stephanie Pimentel, Campus Administrator of CAPSU Burias, for her 100% support to ABI and its staff. Also, special thanks is extended to Dr. Efren Linan and Prof. French Dampog for the all out support and assistance they provide in the preparation for all the activities of ABI. To IPMO Staff headed by Prof. Mark Glenn Villamor, to ATBI personnel headed by Ms. Princess Palawan, College of Management of CAPSU Burias headed by Dr. Rosine Labado and to everyone who is in one way or another making this activity a success, ABI Staff would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to you all.

SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON MARKETING

MARKETING IS INTERESTING!

Another activity entitled: "Seminar-Workshop on Marketing" was conducted as part of the Business Development Services of the incubation program to our ABI Incubatees on January 29, 2022 at CapSU Burias Campus.

Prof. Mark Sibug, Faculty from the College of Management of this campus, talked about what marketing really is. He shared the internal and external factors and approaches of marketing and how product differentiation is important. He throughly discussed the 4Ps of Marketing and shared a story of how marketing made an impact in his life.

It was also an interactive session since everyone got to share their inputs about marketing and how packaging and advertisement help businesses. Different approaches related to advertising were also tackled and how social media especially Facebook helps entrepreneurs.

The activity ended at 4:10 PM.

SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT was held last February 26, 2022 at Bermejo Hall, CAPSU Burias Campus. This was the last part of the Business Development Services in the incubation process. The ABI Project Team is very thankful to the active participation of the 8 Incubatees, 4 Pre-Incubatees, invited Faculty Experts, IPMO Staff, CAPSU Burias Faculty and Staff headed by Dr. Stephanie Pimentel and the rest of the Project Team with Dr. Efren Linan as the Project Leader.

During the morning session, Prof. Salve Ferrer discussed in details the essential parts of the Production Plan and the Process Flow Diagram. She emphasized the importance of the transformation process and how these processes affect the productivity of the business. She also discussed the necessary things to consider in the production operation, these are: right quality, right quantity, right time and right cost. Prof. Ferrer also presented the Republic Act 6541 also known as the National Building Code of the Philippines. Questions, concerns and problems encountered in the production area were also asked by the Incubatees and Prof. Ferrer answered all of those one-by-one during the open forum.

Prof. Florence Gay Murguia during the afternoon session talked about Financial Management and how this can be a great recipe to the success of any business once it’s followed and maintained in the organization. She discussed the forms of business organization and the kinds of business operations in the industry. She highlighted that the very goal of every business is to maximize wealth and profit. She defined wealth maximization and profit maximization as to their focus, risks involved and usage. There were 2 activities happened during the Financial Management session: the first one allowed the Incubatees to identify their investment and financing decisions for their business as well as their payback period relative to their decisions; second was when they identified their short-term financial goals discussing in detail the involved costs, duration and strategies.

Prof. Mark Glenn Villamor, CAPSU’s IPMO Director, shared his message virtually congratulating the Incubatees for successfully completing the Business Development Services part and thanked them for their active participation. Dr. Efren Linan tried to share his message using zoom, however there was a technical problem happened during the day.

The activity ended at 4:30 PM.

TRAINING ON DIGITAL MARKETING FOR ABI INCUBATEES

The training on digital marketing was conducted today to assist the ABI incubatees in utilizing the social media platforms to promote their business as well as in maximizing their profit.

Dr. Stephanie S. Pimentel, the Campus Administrator of CAPSU Burias, welcomed and thanked everyone for their presence and for always coming back to CAPSU. She emphasized that a successful entrepreneur ventures on different selling platforms, including online. She said that Facebook accounts should not be limited to personal use only, but they can be a tool to market the products and services of ABI.

Prof. Zandro Amanguiton, Faculty and Extension Coordinator of CAPSU Dayao Satellite College – Computer Studies Department and an expert in digital marketing, shared the importance of making the products available online. He walked through the ABI Incubatees on how to make an official website for their business, create a Peddlr account, and explore its features such as cash ledger, inventory, and customizing their products by including variants, add-ons, and many more. He also challenged the incubatees to strengthen their understanding and skills about digital marketing and take advantage of the social media platforms where they can sell their products for free. In his conclusion, he highlighted the role and contribution of the small-medium entrepreneurs in the country's economy.
