The School counseling Program at Vista del Mar Middle School will provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program which supports the academic achievement of every student through college and career planning, building social-emotional skills, and equitable academic planning. The School Counseling program will utilize multiple data points to identify the unique needs of our students and advocate for equitable access and support. Our program is dedicated to providing students with the knowledge, mindset, and skills to become well-balanced and productive members of today’s ever-changing society.
Students of Vista del Mar Middle School will be empowered to find solutions to their own problems, advocate for themselves, and behave in a manner that is socially responsible. Students will utilize the social, academic, and career skills necessary to make informed decisions for their futures and be productive members of society. Students will utilize emotional regulation skills to manage life’s big events, and will seek support if needed, without stigma.
Students will be confident in their identity and celebrate differences.
