PTA Membership
PTA needs you! What does it mean to be a member of the PTA? First and foremost, it is a show of support for your child’s school! As a team, the PTA organizes engaging activities like field trips, family fun nights, assemblies and more. We also provide school supplies like playground equipment, agendas, Friday folders and library books. The PTA is focused on providing students with an exciting and stimulating learning environment and we are in need of your help. There is no time commitment necessary with your membership but you are welcome to come have a say in all we do and lend a helping hand to build up our students.

National School Lunch Week Healthy Recipe Contest
National School Lunch Week is October 13-17 and we want to see your students’ favorite healthy recipes! Recipes must have 5 ingredients or less (not including seasonings), include a fruit and/or a vegetable, and be submitted by Friday, October 17, 2025. YMCA Noontime Sports: Keeping Students Active and Engaged During Lunchtime
Get ready for a fun and active recess! The YMCA Noontime Sports program offers students the opportunity to play and stay active during their lunch break. This program will be every Friday from October 10, 2025, to February 20, 2026.
YMCA staff will lead a variety of organized team sports, including soccer, basketball, and kickball, along with high-energy group games like Sharks and Minnows, Steal the Bacon, Spud, and relay races.
Our program goes beyond just physical activity. It’s a great opportunity for students to practice sportsmanship and teamwork, all while learning the YMCA's core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and fairness.
The program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where every student can have fun while staying active and building relationships with their peers.
NAC Art Contest
The California School Nutrition Association Nutrition Advisory Council is holding an Art Contest open to all California students. One winner in each age group will receive a $100 prize! Entries are due September 29, 2025 via email or mail. All details are included on this flyer.

The District utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages with important information about events, school closings, and emergency notifications. It is important for your mobile phone numbers to be listed in the Aeries portal. To receive text message updates, you need to opt-in to text messages by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to the District short-code number 67587 from the mobile number that is listed in Aeries.
Adding a mobile number to Aeries Parent Portal
Login to the Aeries Parent Portal- https://portal.capousd.org/ParentPortal/LoginParent.aspx
In Aeries, click on “Student Info” on the horizontal navigation menu, then click “Contacts.”
Click on the pencil icon next to the name of the contact you want to edit or the Add button to add a new contact.
Enter the mobile phone number in the “Mobile Phone” section and click Save.
E-Bicycle Permit
