You may be wondering why I require students to draw and color their notes and classwork. Math and Science tend to be left-brain subjects full of facts and procedures, with little room for the creative types to thrive. Using colors to enhance our work forces the right side of the brain to participate. When both sides of the brain are active, there is a greater chance for retention and comprehension.
