What is Buzz Math?

Buzz Math assignments are weekly practice assignments. Some are for current topics while others review topics from previous grades or skills my teacher thinks I need practice on.

When is Buzz Math assigned and due?

Buzz Math is a weekly assignment. One or two topics will be assigned each Monday (or the first school day of the week) and due the following Monday. Topics and due dates will be posted here.

When do we work on Buzz Math?

We will dedicate 1 day per week to work on Buzz Math in class (Usually Fridays). You should have started your assignment and use this day to get help on pages and/or problems you are struggling with. Anything that is not completed in class should be completed at home by the due date.

How do you grade Buzz Math?

A full STAR must be obtained to receive full credit. The star can be split into fifths and tenths and you will receive credit based on the fraction of the star that is shaded.

What if my Buzz Math assignment is late?

The whole point behind Buzz Math is to obtain additional practice in math skills. Finishing Buzz Math assignments after the due date will improve your grade but you will not receive full credit.
