Hello!! My name is Tiffany Owens and I am one of the Health Science Teachers at West Plains High. The 2023-2024 school year will be my sixth year teaching in the public school system and my first year part of the Wolf Pact. I also have 3 years experience teaching LVN courses at Vista College. I graduated from South Plains College School of Nursing in 2008 and went to work at University Medical Center in Lubbock as a Level I Trauma nurse in the operating room. I also have experience in Cardiothoracic surgery, and Hospice and Urology. I started my healthcare journey as a PCT at UMC and it helped pay my way through nursing school. I think it is incredible that high school students now have the opportunity to graduate with entry level healthcare certifications to start their own journey in this amazing profession. I absolutely love being part of this profession and I can’t wait to share that passion with my students.
I was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. My husband and I moved to Amarillo 12 years ago. We have 2 daughters, one of which is starting her freshman year here at WPHS. In our spare time we enjoy being at the lake with family and friends.
I am looking forward to an amazing school year!!
Go Wolves!
