This course is a Latin and Greek language-based class that studies the structure of medical terminology. Emphasis is placed on root words, prefixes, suffixes, and combining forms as they apply to anatomy and physiology. This is a fast-paced class that encourages collaborative, as well as independent learning. Requires good attendance and a motivated learner.
Donations: Due to constant price increases for medical supplies, it can be difficult at times to remain stocked with the appropriate supplies needed for learning experiences. To help fill this void, the Health Science Dept. is always grateful to accept donations from any and all healthcare facilities. We are happy to receive expired supplies such as; gloves, PPE, Phlebotomy supplies (vacutainers, disposable tourniquets, blood collection tubes of all colors and sizes, phlebotomy needles of all sizes), and any other medical supplies you or someone you know would like to donate. If you have any questions about donating medical supplies, please email brittney.laughter@canyonisd.net.
