In the seasons of Jack
there is no turning back
as Autumn lanterns light
he appears to bring fright

As Winter brings frost
Jack will tally the cost
So Spring and its thaw
can keep nature's law

Beans will not grow
if giants don't know
and Summer won't start
if Jack won't play the harp
