Students will be expected to bring all of their homework, site words, spelling lists, and AR Library books each day. Each day will start with reading and tutoring before we move into enrichment activities. Each day will have a different lesson or activity for each rotation. These will be fun hands on activities!
Kidz Lit - reading enrichment program for grades K–8. Children hear fiction and nonfiction books read aloud or read books independently and make connections between the stories and their own lives. This gives kids the opportunity to express their feelings and explore big ideas through discussion, drama, art, movement, and writing.
Character First Education – The six pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness, and Citizenship. During this lessons we will provide a fun way to engage your kids in thinking, talking, and writing about the kinds of people they want to be. Getting Along: We will explore how to control anger, work out conflicts, listen, bullying, and prejudice.
CATCH Kids – features a variety of lessons themed to physical activity and nutrition.
Positive Action- based on the intuitive philosophy that we feel good when we do positive actions. Students will explore those actions that promote healthy and positive cycles in their lives.
Legos - provides playful learning experiences that teach children about the world around them through fun building activities. Enhances students' curiosity and science skills through lego play and building activities.
Math - During this time kids will have the access to math manipulatives and games including math bingo, one-on-one power pen access and much more.
