We are learning to engage with a text
When we engage with texts, we get more out of them. We understand more, and we enjoy them more.
We will be able to:
Remember and discuss important events
Discuss our feelings about characters
Identify and discuss important themes in the text
Compare the text with our own lives (what is similar, what is different, what can we relate to?)
Ask questions about the text and make predictions.
