Student Technology Resources

Below you will find various Technology resources that will be used in Class, as well as additional resources that are just fun for students to use and explore.

For Math

GoMath - My.HMH.com - I will guide students through logging into the e-text for GoMath, which will loosely guide our math scope and curriculum this year.

Desmos - I will also be using Desmos for various lessons, assignments and as interactive guides relating to content taught in class you can click on this link to explore https://www.desmos.com/

Additional Math Resources:

  • Johnnie Wilson’s Math Page - Is a great website for a huge variety of math games that are fun for students and relate to our common core Math curriculum

  • Virtual Geoboard - Is a great tool for visualizing and manipulating area, perimeter, and geometric algebra

  • Common Core Coherence Map - This shows how past Common Core standards are connected to this year, and how they lead to future development. They also give a variety of assessment and performance tasks. Please refrain from doing these tasks independently at home, as many of them are planned for use this year, and they work best when everyone is exposed to them at the same time.

For Science

StemScopes is our in

PHET Simulations We will be using lot's of PHET simulations throughout our year, which are interactive simulations for science (and math) that can help students manipulate and visualize new concepts.

Nat Geo for Kids is a great resource for students independent research, games, and just fun stuff!
