Technology is intervention by design. It uses intellectual and practical resources to create technological outcomes, which expand human possibilities by addressing needs and realising opportunities.
The Nature of Technology
We use some of our inquiry learning tools to support the teaching of technology. The Teachnolgy design process aligns with our inquriy learning process.
See the NZ Curriculum Document with the specific Achievement Objectives we teach at primary school.

TechThink Process
We will use the Techthink process to design and develop prototypes. Then through trial and error we will create a final product that will meet the design brief.
Specialist Teachers
Our LIT (Literacy and Information Technology) teacher and Information Technology leader support and co teach alongside classroom teachers to teach the different digital technologies. and run the learning hub.
Create and develop programmes to upskill teachers and students.
Our specialist teachers also assist with extending students through deifferent opportunities such as E-Pro8, Tournament of Minds and our tech angels.
Digital Technology
Our school is fortunate to have exceptional resourcing in this area. From 3D printers, to irobots. Students get to experience the full range of resourcing in order to apply their digital technology knowledge and learning.
