The Next 2 weeks:
Reading - Complete reading the poetry book and answering the questions. (Text me when you need Part 3 or Part 4 questions)
Writing – In a google doc, write your poems for your poetry memoir project (orange papers) in chronological order and share with me. I will edit them.
Titles and Photos – Give titles to your poems. Add related photos or images to the page for each poem.
I will send you information about using an internet program for designing the cover of your memoir.
I will print your memoir in color and bring it to school on Monday, April 27 to pick up during the food distribution OR I can bring it to your home that day.
Grammar – This week, complete Verb Quizzes #1-7. You can also study the paper How to Form Questions in English and Complete the Questions Test (translate questions from Spanish to English). Brenda, I will give you a different test – tell me when you are ready for it.
Grades – I have printed the grade you had in class on March 13. This week I will enter the grades for the work you are to do from home.

1. Read part 3 of Inside Out and Back Again. Answer questions. I sent the questions for 1/2 of part 3. If you need me to resend or send you a photo, then tell me.
2. You can continue to write personal poems for your poetry memoir. Read the orange papers that explain what to do. Your poems will be like the poems in the book.
3. You can use your verb chart (most common verbs in alphabetical order in Spanish) to complete the 12 verb quizzes. Read the instructions on each quiz.

3. You can write your personal poems for the poetry memoir project when you have time. Read the orange papers carefully that explain the project (it's a big grade!) Minimum 5 poems when we return to school. You can email typed poems to me any time if you want me to revise them while we are working from home.

**When you have an assignment, it is your responsibility to finish it and turn it in. If you don’t turn it in, then you get a zero. If you make corrections to a google doc that was already graded, you have to 1) give Ms. P the grading sheet again, and 2) re-send the assignment.

1. in groups of 3, read the paragraph orally and use a pencil to lightly add capitals, periods, and commas in the correct places. Turn them in when you are finished.
2. duolingo - sign in correctly to join our class. You maybe need to take the placement exam again. Let's see.

4. On a library computer, open a google doc - title it McFarland USA, and begin writing. Start with one of the theme statements from the end of the movie guide.
