How can we predict the structure of Earth’s land formations at a time 100 million years from now? Can we show how Earth’s landforms are changing over time? And, if so, can we predict how they might change in the future?Student teams will use the Engineering Design Process to build mechanical models of selected geologically-active landforms to produce an evidence-based prediction of how Earth's landforms will appear in 100 million years.

How can we quickly and clearly convey a message about the value of plant based diets? Can we develop a product that will engage a viewer long enough to effectively communicate a message about the environmental and/or human health effects of plant based diets?Student teams will use the Engineering Design Process to research the topic, develop a primary message and 2-3 supportive messages using limited text, at least one graphically represented piece of evidence, and will present the material in a visually-pleasing context using carefully chosen font and color strategies appropriate for an Infographic product.
