ASD is a math support class in addition to their regular math class. We will review topics/concepts as those in their math class as well as doing some previewing of concepts so students feel more successful. This is also time in which they can get help on their homework (block day). Students who actively participate in ASD tend to raise their math class grade a full letter grade than others who do not. The best part part about ASD is that students not only gain more knowledge in math, they gain CONFIDENCE! About 50% of students enrolled in ASD, want to stay in the class all year as they feel and see all the benefits it has to offer!
