Please note that you must have purchased your ticket in advance; it is not possible to purchase tickets on the door. The online ticket shop has now closed; if you have a query about ticketing please contact Xi Zhang (sempre2026conference@gmail.com) for assistance.
We encourage you to connect to the facility's WiFi. West Road Concert Hall provides eduroam access throughout, which you may have access to already via your home institution. If not, you can instead obtain internet access by logging into the UniOfCam-Guest network.
Please make sure you register at the front desk when you arrive, so that you can obtain your badge and other materials. If you arrive after the official registration period, please speak to a helper, who will be happy to assist.
You are welcome to use Lecture Room 3 to store luggage and/or posters during the day. This room is out of the way and unlikely to be accessed by the general public, but please note that the room will remain unlocked during the day, and we cannot accept any responsibility for misplaced or stolen belongings. If you have concerns, please speak to a helper on the day.
Please make sure you have joined our Slack workspace and can access it on your phone/laptop (see Slack instructions).
You can use Slack to comment on all poster presentations. Please note that there are several posters with presenters that can’t attend the conference in person. You can find these presenters on the #remote-poster-session Slack channels and join their Google Meeting rooms to talk to them!
Check the talk session schedule found on Talks and Posters to confirm if you are talk session 1 or talk session 2, and which number presenter you are in that session.
Please sit in the indicated front row in the order of your presentations. We will invite each of you onto the stage immediately following the question at the end of the presentation before yours. Your slides will be queued up in our compiled slide deck, ready for your presentation as we announce you.
Please note that you must print your poster in advance and bring it with you to the conference! It should be in A0 portrait format. If needed, there are printing shops in Cambridge that you can use for last-minute printing.
Check which poster session you are presenting in (see Talks and Posters), as well as which room you are assigned to (Recital Room, Lecture Room 4, or Lecture Room 5). Please select a poster board of your choosing within your assigned room, and affix your poster using the provided pins. If you are in the second poster session, please wait until the immediately preceding coffee break before affixing your poster.
Please try to be around your poster for as much of the poster session as possible, so that you can present and discuss your work with other attendees.
Your poster will also have its own area on the conference Slack workspace. People are encouraged to leave comments and questions there, so keep an eye on it and respond when you can (but do feel free to prioritise in-person interactions during the conference itself).
