The St-Germains are a family who have been called to the Mission Field in the country of Haiti. I recently had the pleasure of speaking to Laurrie St-Germain, one of our students here at CPA. She spoke to us about what it is like there. It is clear from the way she talks she loves her home and the people there. Laurrie and her family work tirelessly to create better lives for the people of Haiti. They build churches, schools, and as of recently, have been providing hope for the survivors of a recent 7.2 earthquake and a hurricane which hit soon after. Many were killed, more were left homeless and injured.
The St-Germain family has truly stepped up and helped the people of Haiti, giving them the opportunity to share the gospel of Christ.
When asked what her favorite part about Haiti was, Laurrie told us that the most gratifying part is the hope in the children's eyes. Laurrie works with these children to bring hope and joy where there once was defeat, disenchantment, and sorrow. We are so blessed to have such amazing brothers and sisters in Christ here with us at CPA.
Laurrie told us that her parents have a phrase: "Be the change in the world." You can help be the change in the world by visiting the ESMI Foundation website and reading more about the amazing work they do over in Haiti.
