Transparent and accessible data is crucial to advancing multilingual education policy, but advocates across the country often face barriers to accessing the data needed to identify inequities and drive meaningful and lasting change. Utilizing California as a case study, this workshop will explore how data transparency fuels more equitable policies and supports for students. Participants will receive an overview of the history of EL data disaggregation advocacy and how this has made it possible for additional supports for EL students across the state.
