Dear Parents and Students:
Students who take 9th grade honors Communication Skills and English 1 are required to complete a summer reading assignment. The assignment includes reading a book chosen from an approved list and completing activities. Please read the directions carefully.
Below is the process for completing your summer reading project.
2. Choose ONE book from the list of nine provided. Click to see your book choices here. If there are books on the list that you have read, please do not use that book, and choose a book that you have not read before.
3. Choose THREE ACTIVITIES to complete in a TIC-TAC-TOE PATTERN. Your choices MUST follow the rules of Tic-Tac-Toe. They can not be chosen at random. Click here the see the assignment page. To see how your assignments will be graded click here.
****Once you have read over your instructions and have made your book selection, fill out this Google Form.

4. Create a Google Drive Folder to submit your work. You MUST do all of your activities through your Google Drive and create a folder to collect the assignments in. If you do not know how to access your Google Drive or if you do not know how to create a Google Doc/Folder, please click here.
5. Submit your work. Submit your folder to your Communication Skills teacher BEFORE the first day of school. You will learn who that teacher will be at Freshmen Orientation. For a list of 9th grade teacher email addresses, please click here.
