As you write, remember your essay will be scored based on how well you:
develop a 5 paragraph essay that chooses a public figure who represents the meaning of the quote provided.
organize your story in a clear and logical manner, including an introduction, body, and conclusion.
use well-structured sentences and language that are appropriate for your audience.
edit your work to conform to the conventions of standard American English.
include a works cited page and in text citations that follow proper MLA format.
Sources in databases are more reliable than what you'll find with a general Internet search, they're easy to search, and they include a great spectrum of resources from primary sources to statistics to journal articles to videos.
Perhaps the best part about these databases is that finding the MLA formatted citation for each source is PROVIDED, so there is no guesswork at how to cite sources you find there!
