As we go through our course together, we're going to stop from time-to-time to have a short, informal writing practice. Why would I do this? Because the more practice you get with writing, the better and easier it will become.
I know writing can be stressful, but these will be short (1-2 paragraphs) pieces based off images I'll provide for you. There's no research required, there's no extra reading to do, and the prompts are very informal. These writings are designed to take you 15 minutes or less to complete.
Please be as wildly creative as you'd like with your responses! Let yourself have fun and set your imagination free! When you have selected the Quick Write, you will write your response in EDGENUITY submission box.
This is a fun and creative writing prompt meant for me to get to know you and your writing style. Please have fun with it, but do be sure of a few simple requirements:
Your submission should be no less than 75 words.
Use complete sentences and appropriate grammar.
Include responses to each question in the prompt within your response.
Be sure it is appropriate in content for school.
What’s Going On?
Choose one of these images. What do you think is going on in this unusual scene? Support your claim using at least two details from the image
Agree or Disagree?
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? [If you’re with your friends, you should avoid checking your phone.] Explain your position. Use reasons to support your opinion.
