It's time to write your essay! Read through everything below to get started.
You'll write and revise your essay ENTIRELY in our Google Classroom.... not in your own drive; not in Edgenuity; not in Microsoft Word; not on your phone; etc.
Do not type your essay anywhere but in the Google Classroom document you create in this step.
NOTE: Due to recent higher incidence of AI-generated work submitted as student work, your teacher verifies authenticity through your typing and drafting process. Essays that are written elsewhere and pasted into your Google Classroom document cannot be accepted.
It is very important you do ALL of your writing, drafting, and revisions in the document created in our Google Classroom from start to finish.

In Edgenuity:
To confirm you've gone to our Google Classroom to write your essay, fill in the blank and copy the sentence below into the submission box in Edgenuity. HINT: The answer is at the top of this page!

NOTE: The next assignment in Edgenuity will be the "Rough Draft" assignment, and Edgenuity will provide you a field for typing your rough draft. Again, please do NOT do your drafting in Edgenuity! Once you have completed your rough draft in Google Classroom as shown above, you may paste it into Edgenuity's rough draft assignment to show your progress, but please do all of your typing and drafting in the Google Classroom document you created for this step.
