RDA Safeguarding for Equestrians Virtual (Scotland) Courses

These are suitable for Coaches at any level, Safeguarding Officers, Trustees, and Volunteers aged 16 and over. This is an important training to complete to be ready to work with children, vulnerable adults and horses at CRDA. Sign up as an individual via the links below::

A Sport Scotland Module 1 (online) is part of the training. You will be required to complete before joining the tutor-led session. Details sent on registration.

RDA STAND AT BLAIR CASTLE HORSE TRIALS

22-25 AUGUST 2024 - VOLUNTEERS WANTED


This year Blair Castle Horse Trials run from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th August 2024.  An RDA stand has been booked, to be run by the three RDA Scottish Regions and we hope to be in our usual brilliant position overlooking the main arena.  Preparations are underway and as ever we are looking for a band of volunteers from across the three regions to help on the stand.

Volunteers agreeing to do a shift will receive a car pass and admission for the day and will also have plenty of time to watch the competitions or enjoy the shopping opportunity.  Volunteers will be representing RDA so must be ready to chat to the public, answer visitors’ questions or record queries to be answered later; duties may include selling RDA Christmas cards, RDA branded merchandise and other goods from a small ‘shop’ on the stand.  There will always be a member of a regional team or experienced RDA volunteer on every shift.  Most help is needed on the Friday and Saturday.

Very sadly it has been announced that this is the last year of Blair Horse Trials and so the event is likely to be very busy with people wanting to attend one last time.  Should the volunteer rota be oversubscribed the final list will be confirmed by the Regional Chairs.  Please reply by Monday 20th May and we will confirm a rota by mid-June.
