Work-Based Learning

Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities provide students with real-life work experiences to help them develop employability and technical skills, as well as explore various career paths, while also earning credit towards graduation.  Juniors and seniors at Cadott have two options for WBL--Work Study and Youth Apprenticeship.

Each program has specific requirements, but both require students to do the following: sign an employment agreement and transportation waiver, complete workplace reflections, maintain passing grades, and submit work hours.  Additional requirements for each program include:

Work Study--Maintain 15 hours of work per pay period.

Youth Apprenticeship--Complete two courses aligned to career pathway, complete 450 hours of work per year, and complete    an employment checklist.
