Work-Study allows students to work at their job for up to 3 hours per day for seniors and 2 hours per day for juniors while earning high school credit.
Students would receive 1 credit for working 2 hours a day for the trimester. (Juniors only)
Students would receive 1.5 credits for working 3 hours a day for the trimester (Seniors Only).
Mr. Becker will be in contact with every student’s workplace to check in throughout the year.
Students must be a Senior or Junior.
Students must not be failing any classes.
Students have to meet all of their graduation requirements.
Seniors and Juniors must take CaSH class either before or during the work study term
Turn in your hours and reflections weekly to Google Classroom/ AET (This will be reviewed during Orientation).
No failing grades or missing assignments throughout the school year (Progress checks will occur).
Must have fewer than 3 missing assignments upon grade checks
No out-of-school suspensions while completing Work-Study.
If an out-of-school suspension occurs, you will be removed from the work-study program.
Work a minimum of 15 hours per week per pay period- work study.
Students can not be truant throughout the trimester (5 unexcused days).
Check-in and out at the office before leaving and arriving at school.
Students can earn some money and high school credit at the same time.
Students get to learn firsthand about the workforce.
Students will learn how to balance work and school.
