Postsecondary Connections
Cadott High School students have many opportunities to explore options for continuing their education after high school. Through career research activities, field trips to local tech colleges and universities, attending the Wisconsin Education Fair as juniors, and meeting with college reps at school, students will begin to understand the different education paths and identify the most appropriate route for them.
In addition, students have the potential to earn college credit and gain experience with college-level coursework while in high school through the following programs:
Transcripted Credit Courses: Technical college curriculum taught by Cadott staff through an agreement with Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC). Earn technical college credit that may also transfer to a university.
Advanced Standing Courses: Technical college curriculum taught by Cadott staff through an agreement with Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC). Technical college credit awarded only if student ends up attending CVTC.
Advanced Placement (AP) Courses: College-level courses taught by Cadott staff who have aligned their courses with the College Board. Students who take the AP Exam in the spring, and earn a score of 3, 4, or 5 may be awarded college credit by their university.
CVTC High School Academies: A series of technical college courses that lead into a degree program.
Start College Now: Earn college credits by taking classes through a Wisconsin Technical College.
Early College Credit Program: Earn college credit by taking classes at a public or private college or university in Wisconsin.
