Charge your iPad every night so that you come to school with 100% battery. However, don’t leave the iPad charging all day and night. This shortens the battery life. Let the battery run down then plug in the iPad to charge. Your iPad will last longer.
Transport your iPad carefully. If you store it in your bookbag, make sure it is up against soft items and do not drop/throw your bag at any time.
Clean and disinfect your iPad by following Apple's recommended instructions:
Use a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol solution or wipe to gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces. If using a spray, be sure to spray lightly on a cloth in order and not directly on the surface of the device.
Don't use bleach
Avoid getting moisture in any opening
Don't submerge Apple products in any cleaning agents
Don't use disinfectant on fabric or leather surfaces
Always keep the iPad in its case.
Power your iPad down regularly. Every day shut down is not necessary, but once a week you should give it a rest.
Store the iPad in a cool, dry place. Extreme heat, cold, and humidity can do damage to any electronics. Therefore, try to keep it out of a hot car, near heating vents, or outside in the cold.
Do not login to an Apple ID on the school issued iPad. This could cause performance issues. If you need an app on the iPad, please contact your teacher or Tech Services.
