Hello! I'm Mrs. Gaines, the band director! I received my Bachelor's of Music from UALR and I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree at Florida State University.

I believe music-making leads to strong relationships. In band, we make mistakes every day. Our mistakes are loud (sometimes blaring) and band kids learn to be vulnerable in front of each other. The relationships that form as a result end up being deeper, and more meaningful than almost any other friendships. The things that happen in my room aren't just special, they're personal. It is my hope that students leave my room learning both how to be a musician and how to be a better person.
