Welcome to the virtual Apple Classroom. We are doing our best this year to align our distance learning with what in-person learning would look like in a Montessori classroom. We will begin each morning at 9:00 with a class meeting on Zoom. We will remain on this Zoom meeting until 12:00. During this time, students will alternate between whole and small group live lessons with their teachers and off-line independent work time where they will practice what they have learned and complete activities. Students can take breaks as they need them in the morning and everyone will eat lunch off-line at 12:00.

It is preferred for students to attend the live lessons as we feel interactive learning is important. However, if a student is unable to participate, recordings of lessons will be posted in Google Classroom for students to view at a later time.

The afternoon is for exploring some of the resources and extensions in Cultural, VAPA, PE, Social Emotional Learning and on-line supplemental programs such as i-Ready, Rosetta Stone, RAZ Kids, Typing without Tears, etc.. These resources can be found in Clever and the Google Classroom. Parents are welcome to schedule check-in meetings with the teachers after lunch time.
