The purpose of California Montessori Projects school libraries is to provide a welcoming space filled with diverse learning resources that support our school community—students, teachers, and families—in gaining knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and personal development.
CMP strives to create a vibrant, fun, and engaging environment that not only promotes reading but also inspires curiosity and creativity. We are committed to offering a collection of materials that reflects the diverse identities and experiences of our students, ensuring that every individual can see themselves represented in the literature they explore.
Through programs, activities, and collaboration, our libraries serve as a hub for exploration, innovation, and connection, nurturing a sense of community and a passion for learning.
Our library is looking for volunteers to help in each class as a Librarian. Class Librarians check books in and out, wipe down tables as the class leaves and reshelve books.
Not interested in being a librarian but you still want to help? We need people to help shelf read (keep books in alphabetical order), repair damaged books, dust, water plants, help design posters for our themed months and write grants for new books, STEM, and Makerspace items. If interested please sign up at the volunteer table during Meet and Greet, tell your teacher.
