Description: The Performance Skills Level 2 qualification gives learners an opportunity to develop practical skills relating to the performance industry. Learners will focus on developing their skills with a view to progressing to further qualifications or training; and focus on their performance ability by developing their critical awareness, acquiring and developing fundamental practical skills. All performance types and genres are recognised – whether it be drama, dance, music (voice, choral or DJ skills), circus skills, poetry reading, debating, stand-up comedy or puppetry. The assessment can involve solo or group work.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This course if offered in conjunction with the CCEA exam board. Students who successfully complete the Level 2 Performance Skills Qualification will be awarded a Level 2 which is equivalent to a ‘B’ grade at GCSE.
