Classroom membership now aligns with access to the Classroom-Meet link. By default only class members can join without knocking.
New Meet link widget on Stream left sidebar.
Meet links can be bulk updated from the widget menu or class settings.
Co-teachers are automatically Meet moderators / co-hosts.
Students are directed to a waiting room until the teacher joins.
Co-teachers added after the new Meet link have to manually update their link. This will auto-update in future releases.
Any participant can be promoted to a co-host by clicking on 3 dots beside their name and selecting Grant host controls.
In older rooms, the room owner may have to promote other teachers to co-host in Meet.

Meet Co-hosts / Moderator Privileges

Content you're presenting is automatically displayed alongside participant videos
Resize / reposition / hide your own video (hover over your video to change from a tile to a floating thumbnail or hide altogether from your view)
Participant names are now always displayed on their video feeds
When speaking a participant's tile is outlined in blue
Meeting details, Participant list, Chat and Activities icons are now consolidated in the bottom toolbar providing more space to display people and content

Meet via Calendar

When Quick Access is disabled in Google Calendar the setting remains for future use of that link (unlike Classroom Meets).
Breakout rooms can be set up in advance in Google Calendar events
