Use the Grading Tool in Google docs to quickly toggle between pupil submissions, add feedback and build up a comment bank
Have pupils create a Google file in response to assignments (or attach a template file making a copy for each student). When you view the Assignment Page you'll be able to check on each student's progress before the work is handed in.
Number your assignments e.g. #001 - helps with organisation in Classroom and Drive
Use Ctrl+F to search for numbers and words - the Classwork page can get quite long
Send direct Links to Assignments or Materials - links are found by clicking on the three dots beside the Assignment title
Create your scheme of work or course overview as a Google Doc (you can import from Word and convert) and add to Classroom | Classwork | Course Materials (create a new topic at the top). Students will always have access to the latest doc
Share relevant news articles / websites directly to the relevant Class via the Classroom app and the Share option on mobile devices
