Hello! My name is Hannah Burgess and I love being part of the Challenge to Excellence school family! This is my fifth year at C2E and 20th in education. Education has always been a passion of mine. I love to create a classroom that is warm, welcoming, engaging, and full of curiosity.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time reading, baking, and traveling whenever I can. At home I stay busy with my two cats - Dodger & Oliver (Yes, they're named after my favorite Disney movie, Oliver and Company) and three dogs - Ruger, Zora, & Maggie who all keep life playful and full of love, energy and chaos. I’m also a big Colorado sports fan. I cheer on the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies (even when it’s tough to be a fan!). Another fun fact about me is that I LOVE Formula 1 (Team McLaren)! It's my dream to go to a race one day. 

Family is a huge part of my life, and I cherish the time I get to spend with my husband and loved ones. My husband and I met in high school and have been together for 24 years; married for 18 of those. Whether it’s enjoying cooking together, exploring new places, or simply relaxing, my family helps to remind me of the importance of balance, patience, empathy, love, and joy —values I strive to bring into my classroom each day.

I can’t wait to get to know my students and their families this year and to share in all the learning, laughter, and adventures ahead!
