Shadow Visit #2: This week you will do another "shadow visit." You will observe a tutor doing a one-on-one appointment for at least 20 minutes. Then you will answer questions about your experience. Click on the button below. Then, download this document and answer the questions. Then email your responses to Sister Ashcraft at ashcraftc@byui.edu

Visual Chart: As a tutor, you should encourage your students to make a Visual Chart in preparation for an exam or as a study aid.

Here is an example of what a Visual Chart should look like: Ch. 3 Visual Chart (pdf)

You are required to do this assignment: Watch this video to find out about visual charts. As you begin to tutor one-on-one*, make a visual chart with your student. Take a picture or a scan of the Visual Chart and then email it to Sister Ashcraft at ashcraftc@byui.edu

*Since this assignment is done with a student, it may take a couple of weeks after you have started tutoring 1-on-1 to be able to accomplish it.

Watch the videos about the math topics below and do the corresponding Regression, Solving with Logs and the Exponential lab worksheets in your math packet for this week.

ONLY COMPLETE THIS TRAINING IF: you are planning on tutoring Math 110X and did not take it at BYU-Idaho and pass with an A.
