BHS Studio Art

Welcome to the Byers High School "Studio Art" class website! While students are members of this classroom community, we hope the time spent enables them to find ways to grow and advance their artistic behaviors and voice, as well as refine techniques and skills to meet individual goals and aspirations. This class that is for those who truly have a passion for all types of art and creation! Materials used are selected by the artist as needed. Students are encouraged to be ready to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them in order to help develop the skills and self-discipline necessary to move forward in pursuing art at the post-secondary level in any way they choose to do so!

The art students at Byers embrace the "Artistic Thinking Process" as the center of what we do, with components such as the Colorado Visual Art State Standards and the "Studio Habits of the Mind" as integral to establishing an environment that nurtures inquiry and creative connections, ultimately leading to original paths of visual communication!

Art21Art21 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring a more creative world through the works and words of contemporary artists. In addition to its flagship television series, "Art in the Twenty-First Century," Art21 produces two digital series, "New York Close Up" and "Extended Play."
