Goodwill's transition services prepare students with disabilities to move from school to post-school life. The student’s activities are based on his or her needs, preferences, and interests, and include the following areas: Instruction, Community Experiences, Development of Employment and other Post-School Adult living objectives, Acquisition of Daily Living Skills (when appropriate), and Functional Vocational Evaluation.
Goodwill’s transition services department consists of three programs: Pre-Employment Transition Services, Project LIFE and UPMC Project Search. These programs provide employability and life skills training in both classroom and community environments.
