All About Weather

Follow along and repeat the answers as I read!

Sing Along: This is a song for students about different weather patterns. It is a great video to play at the beginning of a lesson to engage the students and get them excited about what they are learning.

Steam Activity: The students will be grouped with 1-2 partners and their job is to brainstorm different ways to insulate an ice cube to prevent it from melting. There are endless opportunities which allows them to be creative and figure out uniuque ways to test their critical thinking skills.

Visual Arts App: The Kid Weather app is a kid-friendly weather app filled with a bunch of different science facts and shows them real-time weather updates. It was created by an 8 year old boy (and his meteorologist dad) to allow students to learn about weather patterns. The students will use this app each day to record the highest temperature and the weather patterns. They will then use this app to count about how many days a month were rainy, sunny, snowy, etc...
