I was raised in Colorado and grew up in the Brighton area. After high school, I moved to Tulsa, OK to attend college at Oral Roberts University.  I began my teaching career in Tulsa after graduating and taught first grade for two years.  I moved back to Colorado and taught first grade for five years at a charter school in Federal Heights.   In 2011 I graduated from Regis with my Master's in Reading.  After that, I was the literacy specialist at a charter school for six years.  I started at Superior in 2017 and I’m excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year!  My husband Eric and I have two daughters, Charlotte and Matilda.

• Birthday: February 8th

• Pets: 3 dogs! Zelda, Zesty, and Maverick

• Children:  Charlotte - 12 and Matilda - 9

I was raised in Colorado, and went to school from kindergarten through undergrad in Boulder Valley. I initially thought I wanted to work in medicine, but fell in love with teaching after working in daycare. I got my masters from UNC and began my teaching career in 2016. I am so excited to have your child in my class this year and I hope to give them a safe space to learn, grow, test their limits, create relationships with me and their peers, and most of all enjoy school!

Some things about me:

• This is my 8th year teaching, but it's my first year at Superior Elementary. I am so excited to be a part of the Superior family!

• I've lived in Colorado my whole life and grew up in Boulder County. Having the opportunity to teach in the communities I grew up in is a huge privilege for me. 

• My favorite things are: my cat Bella, reading, traveling with my husband, working out, cupcakes, and snowboarding.
